The first Chartered Accountants Ireland Ethics Forum Ethics Today – Hard Calls / Right Decisions takes place on the morning of Tuesday 13th December 2011. Space is limited and registrations will be confirmed on a first come/first served basis. A distinguished panel of speakers will share their thoughts on whether there is indeed an ethical deficit in public and business life today and how such a deficit might be addressed. In particular what is the ethical challenge facing our profession and how do we rise to this?
The Forum will be opened by Brendan Howlin T.D., Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform. Other speakers include;
· Mr John Hannaway, President, Chartered Accountants Ireland
· Ms Patricia Barker FCA, past Council member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and lecturer in Ethics at Dublin City University
· Mr Tom O’Higgins FCA, past President, Chartered Accountants Ireland.
· Mr Paul Kimmage, journalist and author and former professional cyclist.
The Forum will be chaired by Mr Ronan Nolan, Council member, Chartered Accountants Ireland and Irish member of the Auditing Practices Board.
