Each year Chartered Accountants Ireland publishes a list of organisations (practices, businesses and public sector) with vacancies for students. Those wishing to obtain a training contract should consult the “Training Vacancies” list and make contact with the organisations concerned.

This publication is available online at Forms/ Downloads The online version will be the most up-to-date source of information. Some firms do not include vacancies on the list and confine their recruitment activities to Autumn presentations (sometimes called ‘milk rounds’). Trainee Graduate Accountant 2013

Description: BDO Limerick is currently recruiting for an additional graduate trainee to join our Audit Department in September 2013.

 

This position is open to business graduates with expected CAP2 or CAP1 exemptions.

This position will involve a 3 or 3 ½ year training contract with study leave provided and leading to the ACA professional qualification. Tax trainee job description

We are looking for a motivated, highly numerate graduate with an excellent academic record in tax, accounting and other technical subjects such as finance, statistics, economics who possess the ability to apply this learning in an analytical manner.

Tax trainees work on a range of assignments including:


►    Tax compliance, you will be exposed to all the tax heads.

►    Restructuring projects: reconstruction and reorganisation of businesses, personal holdings etc.

►    Insolvency projects: assisting our insolvency team to assess the tax obligations of businesses in liquidation or receivership and the tax implications of various restructuring strategies.

►    R&D credits and intellectual property.

►    Company set ups.

►    Termination payments.

►    Pension planning.

►    Succession planning.

►    Payroll.

Key responsibilities include:


►    Liaising with clients and third parties.

►    Compiling tax returns.

Job Specification

v  Trainee Accountants required to start in Summer 2013

v  College graduate with relevant business qualification

v  Vacancies available in our Clonakilty, Cork City and Midleton Offices

v  Report direct to Senior / Manager

v  Preparation of accounts to trail balance stage

v  Preparation of bank, debtors and creditors reconciliation

v  Preparation of Vat and PAYE/PRSI returns

v  Preparation of personal tax and corporation tax computations

v  Preparation of companies secretarial returns

v  Assisting in the auditing of large and medium sized companies

v  Preparation of accounts for audit exempted companies
