Each year Chartered Accountants Ireland publishes a list of organisations (practices, businesses and public sector) with vacancies for students. Those wishing to obtain a training contract should consult the “Training Vacancies” list and make contact with the organisations concerned.

Some firms do not include vacancies on the list and confine their recruitment activities to Autumn presentations (sometimes called ‘milk rounds’). For queries on the Training Vacancies contact Caroline Conlon at caroline dot conlon at charteredaccountants.ie or telephone 01 637 7325.

Whilst you do not necessarily have to have an accounting degree, relevant experience in a financial services, international business, or professional services environment would be an advantage.   • Tax compliance services;
  • Outsourcing services to foreign inward investment clients;
  • Regulatory inspections and forensic work;

Your Development

Your development is our future and our approach to education and training reflects that. Education & training is so integral to our business that it is one of the professional services we offer clients such as law firms and banks. We are committed to providing a comprehensive range of business and technical training throughout the year which includes monthly in-house learning afternoons, 2 day internal technical training sessions in December an offsite training day in March and a 3 day residentially training course in October (in the Seafield Hotel, Wexford again in 2013). There is a strong coaching atmosphere within the Firm where senior staffoffer advice and support (through buddy systems) to trainees over the course of their training contracts. Partners are involved in the CAI Training, Audit and Assurance, QAC Committees and lecture on the FAE.

Remuneration

Our remuneration packages are designed to attract and retain the best people as part of our team and are flexible based on prior experience and exams passed. We are offering a salary of €17,000 and €22,000 (depending on experience) as well as study leave in excess of CAI recommended periods, internal support, student registration and exam fees.
