MRAs - Mutual Reciprocity Agreements

Chartered Accountants Ireland has reciprocity agreements with a number of other Institutes that allow Chartered Accountants Ireland members apply for membership of those bodies and allows their members apply to Chartered Accountants Ireland for membership. Usually applicants to Chartered Accountants Ireland will have to undertake local company law and taxation exams before being allowed to become members.

Chartered Accountants Ireland has MRAs with the following Instiuttes:

  • The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
  • The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants
  • The Institue of Chartered Accountants of Australia
  • The New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants
  • The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (See also ICAI recognises Hong Kong CPAs qualified in China)
  • The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants
  • The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland
  • The Insitute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe
