Companies (Amendment) Bill 2009

The new Companies (Amendment) Bill 2009 has been published today on the Oireachtas website.

The Bill contains containing new provisions to remove certain exceptions contained in the Companies Acts that apply in the cases of companies holding licences under section 9 of the Central Bank Act 1971 (or holding companies of such companies) regarding disclosure of loans to directors and transactions of an analogous nature, to otherwise amend the Companies Acts in respect of loans by companies (of whatever type) to directors or certain related parties and transactions of an analogous nature and, in particular, to amend section 40 of the Companies Act 1990.
