The importance of the role of Directors and extent of their duties and responsibilities has never been in clearer focus than it is today. Directorship is not something that should be taken on lightly and it is imperative that all Directors are aware of the risks and pitfalls involved. Over 5 weeks this course addresses some of the key concerns including;

  • The role of the Office of Director of Corporate Enforcement (ODCE)
  • How Directors are impacted by laws including Health and Safety, Employment legislation, Competition law etc
  • What to do when a company is in difficulties, when to call in the experts and how to protect yourself
  • What is 'best practice' in corporate governance
  • How can you be a more effective board member

The course is presented by a range of experts from a range of organisations including the ODCE, the Irish Stock Exchange and the legal profession.
