Europe - CEBS publishes 2009 work programme

The Committee of European Banking Supervisors has published its Work Programme for 2009. The programme looks at the activities undertaken by CEBS in 2008 and the plans for 2009. The Priority 1 key activities for 2009 include:

  • Crisis management
  • Early intervention mechanisms
  • Transparency, disclosure and valuation
  • Periodic risk assessments
  • Liquidity risk management
  • Colleges of supervisors and other network mechanisms
  • Guidelines on hybrid capital instruments
  • Supervisory reporting
  • Training programmes
  • Securitisation
