A new book from ICAI Publishing, Strategic Cost Reduction, advises anyone who is considering or is about to embark on a course of major cost reduction in their organisation. It fits effective cost reduction into a wider strategic framework: the challenge being to radically reduce costs, while still surviving and prospering.
The main purpose of this book is to guide managers and experts advisers in applying strategic cost reduction in practice. Having discussed cost reduction experiences with managers at different levels in a wide range of organisations, the authors here present methods employed by the public as well as the private sectors. They set out the tools used by businesses and organisations that have undertaken major cost reduction.
