Over 60,000 businesses have agreed extra time to pay tax with HMRC through the Business Payment Support Service (BPSS), promoted at the time of the Pre Budget Report. The tax at issue totals more than one billion pounds.
The BPSS offers enhanced support to businesses finding it difficult to make tax payments on time, including corporation tax, VAT, PAYE, income tax and national insurance contributions.
