The Exchequer figures for the 12 Month period ended 31 December 2008 have been released. The tax take is €40.8bn.

There is a deficit overall and Tax Revenue at €40.8bn is down almost €6.5bn on the 2007 figures. The following is a breakdown of the Tax Revenue:
