The June issue of tax.point is now available on the website. tax.point online is a unique dedicated website in the world of tax. There are two levels of access. This means the website provides a service to all members (not just subscribers). Click on http://taxpoint.icai.ie/

If you subscribe to tax.point online, you will have access to all issues of tax.point and a search facility to effortlessly troll through all key tax developments in Ireland, the UK and internationally since November 2005.

Services to non-subscribers

There is a scrolling news section on the Home Page which highlights the latest news in the tax world (from Ireland, the UK and internationally). This section will be updated at a minimum every week.

In addition there are links to relevant ICAI tax services, including the ICAI Tax Department section of the ICAI website, ICAI Tax and Tax CPD. This will facilitate the ease of access to services that the ICAI provide to members in the tax area.

The three key stories in the latest tax.point issue are also included to whet the appetite.

Services to subscribers

Subscribers to tax.point online will have access to the current issue of tax.point and all past issues since its inception in November 2005.

Each month, tax.point online brings you:

  • Independent coverage of all important tax developments
  • Expert commentary on the issues of the day, including very recent tax cases (Irish, UK and EU)
  • Summaries of changes in tax law and cases
  • The full text of new important source documents: statutory instruments, Revenue statements, etc.

There is a full search facility which queries all issues of tax.point since its inception in November 2005. This will allow subscribers to search all key tax developments which have occurred during that time in Ireland, the UK and internationally, including source documentation and key case law.

In addition, from February 2009, tax.point has a unique Case Law section which consists of ICAI Tax Case Digest and Selected Judgments. This means that subscribers to tax.point will have first view of the ICAI Tax Department commentary on important case law that is relevant to Chartered Accountants.

The subscription process is part of the ICAI subscription process so ICAI members will have just the one ICAI username and password.

Subscribers will be charged an annual fee of

  • €139.50 (plus VAT) for online only
  • €186 (plus VAT) for online and paper
  • €155 (plus VAT) for paper only
