Tax Qualified, Experienced?

Fri, Jun 5, 2009

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland is the premier body representing accountants in Ireland. We will shortly have a vacancy in our Tax Department for a full time Tax Manager to help us in providing services to members.

The ICAI Tax Department provides information on key tax developments in both the Irish and UK jurisdictions where most of our members operate. We monitor developments in EU law so that we can comment and advise on domestic legislation. We respond to our members views on aspects of tax law and administration which create difficulties both in industry and in practice, and we work with Government and Government bodies to highlight concerns and develop solutions. Operating on a commercial basis, the Department's outputs include Tax eNews, TaxSource and tax.point.

Ideally a CA, the successful candidate will have the professional qualifications and personality required to deal with practice, business and government contacts at the highest level. He or she will have the drive and energy to research and develop tax issues and follow them through to an agreed conclusion. Reporting to the Director of Taxation, the tax manager will have particular responsibility for Republic of Ireland technical representations and for our monthly tax journal, tax.point.

This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional to make a real difference in a fast moving environment. A competitive package, reflecting the market, will be available to the right candidate.

Please apply by eMail with a full CV to Ms Dawn Leane, HR Manager dawn.leane@icai.ie by Wednesday 17 June next. If you would like to have an informal discussion about the position, contact Brian Keegan, Director of Taxation, at the Institute - brian.keegan@icai.ie, 01-6377347.
