Following the publication of the Survey on Coordination Committees in January 2009 and building on the lessons learned from the crisis, CEIOPS (Committee of European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Supervisors) Members have approved the "Guidelines on preparation for and management of a financial crisis".
They stand as a complement to the existing Guidelines for Coordination Committees and are aimed at further developing the cooperation and coordination between supervisory authorities.
