A new version of Form 64-8 is available which allows all details to be typed directly onto the form on-screen. It can then be printed and sent to the client for signature before posting to HMRC to process.

The signature and employer sections of the form have also been amended to provide clarification and aid accurate completion. The revised form should be used with immediate effect and all existing versions of the 64-8 form should be destroyed

An online agent authorisation service is also available which replaces the requirement to complete paper forms. A receipt is provided on-screen during the authorisation process that acknowledges HMRC has received the request.
