April Exchequer Returns show revenues from all tax categories remaining substantially in decline. The Exchequer Deficit widened to €7.3 billion in April, with tax revenues for the first four months of 2009 almost 24% lower than the same period last year - €10.1bn in tax receipts in January-April compared to €13.3bn in Q1 2008.
