Members are advised that HMRC are sending out letters from the Tax Credit Office to claimants with the heading "Help with your Tax Credit Renewal". This letters offers the individual help with renewing a tax credits claim by asking them to call one of HMRC's specialist tax credits teams.

Readers are advised to be aware that these are genuine letters. They have been sent out by HMRC as part of a specific piece of work to help claimants report the right details at the time of renewing their claim but also to help the Tax Credits office ensure that the right amount is being paid.

More information about the renewal process can be found on the HMRC website here
