An independent group of economists, accountants and businessmen based in Northern Ireland this week called for a reduction in the existing corporation tax rates of 28% (for large firms) and 21% (for small firms) down to 12.5%. The argument was made in the group's first major report, "The Case for a Reduced Rate of Corporation Tax in Northern Ireland", which is available to download here.
