The closing date for responses to the consultation, ‘VAT: addressing borderline anomalies’ has been extended to 18 May 2012.
This consultation was launched last month after Budget 2012 in which the Chancellor announced he was extending VAT to a range of ‘anomalies’ identified in the UK’s VAT system.
Comments are invited on draft legislation changing the VAT treatment of supplies of catering, sports drinks, self-storage, hairdressers’ chair rental, holiday caravans and alterations to listed buildings. The consultation is available here.
