Professional development refers to skills and knowledge required to achieve personal development goals and career advancement. Yes you still have to meet CPD regulations but why waste limited training budgets just ticking boxes when you could achieve so much more for you and / or your employer.
Professional development is critical to career progression. Keeping up to date with new skills and techniques is important, because it is these new skills that will put you in pole position for better opportunities in the workplace.
Here in Chartered Accountants Ireland we are committed to supporting your professional & career development to help you realise your full potential.
With this in mind we are delighted to announce the re-launch of CPD as Chartered Accountants Professional Development. Professional Development is so much more than a technical CPD course so we want to share with you how easy it is for you, the Chartered Accountant, to keep up to date with your professional development.
This re-launch of CPD is intended to showcase just how much can count towards your CPD requirements and how much is on offer from your Institute to support you.
Keep up to date with technical updates by attending a typical technical CPD event. Or perhaps you are more interested in keeping up to date with current industry trends and developments? Why not get involved with one of the many specialist interest groups that have sprung up. Not in Dublin? Not a problem. Get involved in your local district society. There are six district societies in Ireland alone, one in the United Kingdom & one in Australia. Maybe you are looking for a way to demonstrate your existing expertise, why not undertake a specialist qualification? Times are tough for everyone at the moment; why not join a network near you to meet like-minded individuals and share experiences, good and bad. Building relationships like this can be extremely useful for finding out about career opportunities, work related guidance & possible business opportunities
We are always looking for ways to improve and develop new services so please let us know if you have any ideas. We are only a phone call away.
