Also free-of-charge to members, TaxSource is a fully consolidated and up-to-date online version of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997, with full search facilities and links to related legislation and Revenue guidance material. TaxSource Total is a subscription service offering up-to-date, annotated and consolidated texts of the four key Irish Tax Acts: the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997; the Stamp Duties Consolidation Act 1999; Capital Acquisitions Tax Act 2003; and VAT Consolidation Act 2010. TaxSource Total is further enhanced to include relevant additional supplementary legislation and Regulations and links to related legislation and Revenue guidance material.
IFACnet is a web-based global database designed specifically for professional accountants in business.There is no charge when you use IFACnet, although certain search results may identify documents or publications available for purchase.
Practice Toolkits and Work Programmes from the Practice Consulting team at Chartered Accountants Ireland are creative solutions to practical problems: a range of toolkits to support and inform chartered accountants in practice. Toolkits offered include: Procedures for Quality Audit (of charities, credit unions, insurance brokers, property management companies, as well as standard audits); financial reporting toolkits include financial disclosure checklists and pro-forma financial statements; other products include a Tax Gather and Check and work programmes for the preparing financial statements for audit exempt companies.
Since 2005, Chartered Accountants Ireland have commissioned and published a complete suite of textbooks for our students at CAP1, CAP2 and FAE levels in both the RoI and NI jurisdictions. Written by leading Irish academics, we offer textbooks and supporting materials in financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing & assurance, taxation, law, corporate strategy, business leadership, etc. Our textbooks have now also been adopted as core texts at over 20 universities and colleges in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Great Britain.

Accountancy Ireland is the official journal of Chartered Accountants Ireland and is free to members. Since 1969, it has delivered high quality, relevant content to Irish chartered accountants at home and abroad. Each bi-monthly issue has technical features on financial reporting, audit, company law and tax, alongside more general business articles, profiles, interviews. An archive of full text digital editions is available for recent years (from 2007).
Published by the Global Accounting Alliance, GAA Accounting is an online journal advancing understanding of the theory and practice in accounting, business finance and related subjects. It is a forum for the international exchange of research between its member institutes.
Available a printed journal, Tax.point is a monthly tax update for tax professionals, accountants and Chartered Tax Consultants. Each month, it offers: articles on current tax matters written by experienced tax practitioners; summaries of key tax developments in Ireland, the UK and internationally; commentary on current Irish, UK and European Court of Justice case law and forthcoming tax deadlines.
Published six times per year for members in practice Practice Matters provides an update on technical, tax and practice management matters, together with articles that are of particular interest to small and medium-sized practices. Spreadsheet is the journal for the Chartered Accountants Ulster Society. Published three times per year, it contains news, event notices and profiles of interest to members in Northern Ireland. Account is the monthly newsletter of the Chartered Accountants Leinster Society. Sent to over 9,000 members, Account is a quick, light read, which keeps members up to date with the activities and events provided by the Leinster Society.

Chartered Accountants Ireland offers a broad range of rich media content from videos to showcase our qualification, services to members and events to the amazing selection, across all years and courses, of online tutorials, live and recorded streaming of lectures and presentations in our online Student Centre. Chartered Accountants Ireland video content can also be accessed on our YouTube channel, including Driving Ireland Forward, which highlights the important role played by Chartered Accountants, north and south, in driving the Irish economy.
The print edition of Accountancy Ireland is supported by a range of innovative multimedia extras, including audio and video podcasts. The Accountancy Ireland podcast regularly features in top business podcasts on iTunes. For members in business, the Members’ Services department regularly produce podcasts of experts commenting on topics of current importance and interest.

Annually, Chartered Accountants Ireland publish a calendar of Core CPD courses and events, which is designed to meet the core technical requirements (audit, financial reporting, taxation, etc.) of members.
