Conal Kennedy, FCA
Head of Practice Consulting

Conal KennedyConal is head of Practice Consulting with Chartered Accountants Ireland. In this role he provides advice and training to practitioners on technical issues, practice profitability and practice change. He trained with Deloittes where he qualified in 1988. He was a sole practitioner from 1992 until he joined the Mazars audit team in 1997.

He joined Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2003 and was a quality reviewer prior to his move to the Practice Consulting Team. Conal has lectured on a wide variety of topics, including auditing and financial accounting and investment business.

Níall Fitzgerald, ACA
Practice Consultant

Niall FitzgeraldAs a Practice Consultant Níall provides valuable advice to members on IT Consulting, Practice Profitability, Practice Management, Accounting, Audit and Controls Compliance.

Níall is a Chartered Accountant from Galway and holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from GMIT and a Masters in Accounting from NUIG. He joined Chartered Accountants Ireland from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he spent 5 years working in Audit and Business Advisory Services and also worked in McKinsey & Co Management Consultants. He has extensive experience of catering for the needs of SME's as well as larger companies at a local, national and international level.

Barbara McCormack, FCA QFA
Publishing Consultant



Barbara McCormackBarbara is responsible for writing and editing Practice Consulting's suite of publications and toolkits. She trained with PricewaterhouseCoopers and prior to joining Chartered Accountants Ireland she was a senior manager in FGS in Longford. Barbara has extensive experience in audit, accounting, investment business compliance and wealth management.
