The world of credit unions is changing rapidly. The Registrar of Credit Unions has been subsumed under the Financial Regulator. Concerns about their immediate solvency in the midst of the credit crunch mean that the audit risk, always regarded as high by standard setters and regulators, has increased significantly. The intention of the course is to provide practitioners with a road map to the current regulatory environment, and the challenges facing Credit Unions.
