Accredited Degree Programmes
Students embarking on a career with Chartered Accountants Ireland must firstly clear their eligibility/exemption position. Chartered Accountants Ireland has exemption arrangements in place with the majority of third level institutions who run accounting /business programmes. These are listed on this webpage. Students can apply for exemptions anytime to end of July. This will be done using the new website once it is live - use the "enter email" button below to provide your email to receive a link when the site is live.
Other Degree Programmes
The listed third level degree programmes are the principal feeder programmes for this Institute and have been formally accredited for exemptions. If you are studying at a university or for a programme not listed here you may be entitled to claim exemption(s) depending on your degree (2.2 honours or better) and the modules passed. To make an application please provide the following details with your application using the new website when it goes live: Transcripts of Results for each year of study; Module descriptors for each relevant module; Sample examination papers. With the exception of students who are awaiting results of repeat sittings of undergraduate programmes or external students, all students must apply for exemptions prior to enrolling on a course.
Post Graduate Programmes

Becoming a student with Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2017
Chartered Accountants Ireland will shortly launch a new website where you can apply to become a student. The website is at its final testing phase at the moment. Note: Exemptions are subject to a time limit of ten years from undergraduate qualification.
