To be awarded the Certificate in UK and Irish GAAP, participants are required to complete a home assignment.
This assignment constitutes 100% of the overall mark. Participants must achieve 50% or above in this assignment to be eligible for the award.

Assignment release dates - participants will have six weeks approximately from release date (submission date will be included with the assessment to complete the home assignment. 

We recommend starting the programme at least six weeks before your chosen assignment release date to allow you adequate time to cover content before starting the assignment.

Release dates:

  • 29 November 2018
  • 20 February 2019
  • 4 July 2019
  • 3 October 2019

Participants who wish to defer the assignment will be asked to do so in writing, at least three days prior to the submission date, and may be subject to an additional fee.
Participants must complete and successfully pass the new assignment, as released with the next session of the course (see website for release dates) before they can be awarded with their certificate.


Members of Chartered Accountants Ireland will be awarded a Certificate in UK and Irish GAAP from Chartered Accountants Ireland under the ‘1966 ICAI Charter Amendment Act’

Other professionals will be awarded a Certificate in UK and Irish GAAP by our training subsidiary Chartered Accountants Ireland Executive Education Ltd.

Our programmes are designed to meet a special purpose and continue at roughly a Masters level, expanding knowledge in a specific field.  Awards are made depending on the programme and the participant background by either Chartered Accountants Ireland or our Executive Education subsidiary.
