The role has two distinct areas: Marketing of Professional Development Products & Services and Member Engagement

Chartered Accountants Professional Development designs and delivers a comprehensive programme of training for members and non-members. This includes In Company Training. This role is intended to support the growth of the Professional Development programme of Chartered Accountants Ireland and ensure its commercial success.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, Professional Development you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing relationships, creating new relationships with new customers for delivery of revenue. Working with the wider team, you will execute marketing & sales campaigns to achieve the revenue goals of the dept. You will work directly with the Marketing Manager on all marketing projects and initiatives. You will be responsible for growing and retaining the customer base for In-House courses. Promotion of the department’s courses and Training Ticket scheme is also a key aspect of the sales element of the role, working with the full team.  Work will also include the organisation of meetings and events. Attending meetings with the Marketing Manager with all suppliers such as creative and digital agencies

The role:

  • Creating great content for the department’s weekly e-newsletter to members and submit content advertising courses for the Chartered Accountant’s weekly E-news.
  • An understanding of Google analytics would be preferable.
  • The ability to seek out relevant and interesting content for social platforms.
  • A good understanding of how to use all social media platforms.
  • Course numbers – strive to achieve agreed targets on individual courses, cold calling, taking opportunities when they arise to grow course numbers.
  • Conferences – working with the Marketing Manager to achieve agreed targets on all bigger events, such as the annual Leadership conference, business members’ event etc.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to ideas and support all events and activities across the department from a marketing perspective.
  • In Company Training – take ownership to reach agreed targets whilst working continuously to develop a pipeline of new prospects
  • Regular customer interaction, calls & visits
  • Manage & develop relationships with existing customers, training ticket holders etc.
  • Build & develop new relationships with prospective customers
  • Cold Calling for In-House and to increase sales to existing customers for Training Tickets and courses.
  • Campaign reporting with analytics and data insights.
  • Use all company events to build awareness leading to new business opportunities
  • Assist with event co-ordination.
  • Assistance with wider CPD team on ad hoc basis, particularly in peak times.
  • Attending meetings with the Editorial team, the Web team and the wider Marketing & Communications team when requested.

The candidate:

  • The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years events marketing experience in order to take responsibility for the breadth of outputs required.
  • Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working in a fast paced environment which required high levels of flexibly, initiative and customer service ability.
  • Demonstrated relationship management and capable of building strong relationships with members.
  • Have strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Be highly organised and competent with database systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Be a self-starter who can work on your own initiative to achieve objectives.
  • Must be able to prioritise effectively and work on own initiative.
  • Must be a real team player who is able to give and carry out instructions
