Mar 04, 2015

Speaking at the recent Credit Union Managers’ Association (CUMA) Spring Conference, the Central Bank-based registrar Anne Marie McKiernan said that despite the introduction of tighter lending restrictions, many credit unions had yet to adequately address weaknesses in policies and controls to meet regulatory standards.

In her speech, the Registrar discussed some of the more recent developments in the credit union area and highlighted some of the special challenges facing the sector.  She also outlined some changes that have been made in relation to engaging with credit unions and how these will work in practice.
