The rain certainly didn't put a dampener on the Leinster Society as we headed to the Aga Khan Cup in the RDS on Friday 9 August! A big thank you to our members who joined us, as we began the day with a delicious sit down lunch in the Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge, before heading over to the RDS to take our seats in the arena. Unfortunately Ireland didn’t win that day, jumping into third place only, but we had our own winners as Rosie Galligan and Leona Lavery deservedly took home the titles of Best Dressed Ladies, with thanks to our generous event sponsors CPL. Check out the photos!

Tickets are still available for our annual GAA Lunch, sponsored by Bank of Ireland taking place in Croke Park on Friday 6 September. We have a fantastic VIP panel lined up for post match analysis, banter and GAA chat: Jack McCaffrey of the Dublin football team, Richie Hogan of the Kilkenny Hurling team (just don't mention THAT red card!), Marie Crowe, sports journalist and broadcaster and one of the most recognizable female faces/voices in the industry; and  well-known Irish radio and television broadcaster Michael Lyster as our MC for the day. For only €85 a ticket, or €850 for a table of 10, join us for a delicious three course lunch followed by our lively panel discussion from 12.30pm onwards. There will also be some fantastic prizes to be won in our raffle on the day in aid of Pieta House who do amazing work helping people who are in suicidal distress or engaging in self-harm. The highly coveted Liam McCarthy and Sam Maguire cups will also be there on the day for photo opportunities.  A day not to be missed! Book now by emailing Leinstersociety@charteredaccountants.ie

“Aside from bench-marking salaries, the Leinster Society Salary Survey,  in partnership with Barden, reflects the many non-monetary benefits enjoyed by our members, with work-life balance and flexible working a priority for most. It also gives employer firms, recruiters and those considering a career in Chartered Accountancy a reliable insight into all the components that make the profession a rewarding career choice. Chartered Accountancy remains the largest single employer of new graduates in Ireland, and Chartered Accountants Ireland offers a range of flexible entry-routes into the profession, so students can work and learn in a way that best meets their individual needs.” - Leinster Society Chairman Brian Murphy.   On Friday 5 July we launch the results of the 2019 Salary Survery. Join us in Chartered Accountants House at 7.45am to analyse these with the help of our Chairman Brian Murphy and Elaine Brady, Managing Partner in Barden. Russell Beck, an internationally acknowledged thought leader in Talent Management, will also be there to discuss the topic of flexibility and it's positive impact on productivity within the workplace.
