HR Executive

The Institute are seeking to recruit an experienced professional HR Executive to join the HR team on a permanent basis.

The Human Resource Executive will support the HR Director and HR Business Partner in delivering a full range of HR services in the areas of staffing, performance planning, employee engagement, payroll and compensation, and employee development.

The role:

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  1. Assisting managers and employees in understanding and applying people tools, policies and procedures to maximize employee performance, achieve organizational effectiveness, improve employee engagement, and ensure legal compliance.
  2. Administration of all employee documentation including administration of HR processes associated payroll cycles for Salary, Bonus, Pay increases etc.
  3. Support all areas that touch on the employee experience and lifecycle, in line with the Institute’s policies and procedures including:
    • Full recruitment process for departments – including shortlisting, arranging interviews, interviewing and selection.
    • Health & Safety – including risk assessment (inc. VDU), H&S programme monitoring, Accident reports, LTS monitoring and reporting.
    • Development and Training – including: creating the annual training plan and submitting it for review/approval, managing & facilitating the delivery of progressive training requests and development programmes, evaluating, reporting on and analysing L&D programmes to assess impact of learning, and process improvements.
    • Performance Appraisals: Collecting, reviewing, recording and filing of all Goal Setting & Annual Performance Reviews, Contributing to the Goal Setting & Annual Performance Review process through identification of training and development needs.
  4. Reports and analytics
    • Management of HR data online on HR locker.
    • Design and management of HR turnover reports
    • Design and management of Retention reports
    • Design and management of Annual leave reports sick leave reports
    • Design and management of Compliance reports (e.g. Dignity at work)
  5. Other activities and projects as required including:
    • HR Locker / Records Management - Retention and Administration.
    • GPTW- Co-ordination and reporting on key activities:
    • Internal Communications – coordinate internal communications activities
    • Excellence through people - Preparation of reports for certification

The candidate:

Essential Qualification & Experience

  • Degree level qualification with a professional qualification in HR e.g. CIPD Graduate Diploma/Certificate in HR.
  • A broad understanding of all major HR disciplines with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within a HR Department and operational experience therein.
  • Proven client relationship building skills.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate critical, analytical and innovative thinking skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
