  • Financial System Processing (Daniel Gaffney,Deloitte) - This session will consider how to progress through month and quarter end successfully, including the trends visible in this area
  • Cashflow (David Farrell - Grant Thornton) - This section of the webinar will focus on effective cashflow management, as well as the liquidity and funding supports available through Enterprise Ireland, the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland (SBCI) and the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF) at the time of the course
  • Auditing and Accounting Update (Brian Murphy - Deloitte) - This session will focus on accounting issues in the current environment such as impairment, provisions, subsequent event disclosure. In addition, it will consider going concern considerations, internal controls assessment, as well as audit report implications in the current environment, including matters to consider and the options available
  • Tax (Jane Quirke, Joanne Sinnott, Amy Adams - Grant Thornton) - Representatives from Grant Thornton will focus on the latest updates in relation to employment tax considerations and other tax areas relevant at the date of this course

Speaker Bio's

Brian Murphy-Brian is a Director within Deloitte Ireland's Consumer and Technology Business Audit department. He has over 14 years audit and general business advisory experience, specialising in external statutory audits under IFRS, US and local GAAP, internal audits (including systems reviews and value for money audits), due diligence and forensic accounting investigations (for both private and public sector organisations). Brian lectures and presents extensively on a range of topics

Jane Quirke-Jane is a Director of Tax with who advises on global mobility, employment tax and workforce issues including taxation, social security and reward. She has worked in both Ireland and abroad, having worked for a Big Four firm in the UK where she specialised in global employment tax. Jane has provided expat services to overseas listed multinationals together with large indigenous Irish companies. She is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and an associate of the Irish Taxation Institute

Joanne Sinnott- Joanne is an Associate Director who rejoined Grant Thornton in 2018 and has 11 years' experience working in tax practice specialising in employment tax, global mobility, social security and reward. Joanne is a member of of the Chartered Accountants Ireland and an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute

Amy Adams- Amy is a Payroll Manager with Grant Thornton and is responsible for the operational and financial management of her unit and for the delivery of payroll and payment services to a wide range of domestic and international clients. A graduate of UCD, Amy holds an IPASS Certificate in Payroll Techniques and is also a qualified Accounting Technician

Daniel Gaffney is a Partner in Deloitte with significant experience in finance transformation and advising large multinational clients across a number of industries. Daniel has spent his career working with CFOs and business leaders on transformation programmes including business strategy alignment, target operating model definition, cost reduction and business process and technology transformation
