Who should watch this recording?

Every member should arm themselves with a basic understanding of the suite of voluntary liquidation options available. You will benefit most if they have some basic involvement in insolvency and restructuring work or have assisted with winding down companies previously. There are however no prerequisites to attend this training

  • Introduction to the circumstances in which directors may consider a voluntary liquidation
  • An overview of the different types of voluntary liquidation appointments in Ireland
  • Considerations for companies when preparing to place a company into Liquidation
  • Outline the statutory obligations and timeframes for placing a company into Liquidation
  • Appointing a Liquidator and their main role and duties
  • Directors duties and powers when a Company is placed into Liquidation
  • Examples of the practical side of a Liquidator's role and provide examples of day to day Liquidation matters
  • Completing a Liquidation and formally dissolving an Irish Company

Sharon Mullins is a Manager in EY Transaction Advisory Services - Restructuring with 8 years' experience both in Ireland and Australia.She has experience in Liquidations, Receiverships, Administrations and Independent Accountants reports. She currently specialises in portfolio management of Liquidations and Legal Entity Rationalisation and manages a diverse portfolio.Her expertise includes project management, cash flow management and developing and delivering restructuring strategies

Andrew Dolliver is a JIEB qualified, licenced insolvency practitioner who takes appointments in ROI and NI.He provides strategic restructuring advice to corporate clients, lenders and private equity houses, across a wide range of sectors, including real estate, hotels and pubs, gaming, aircraft leasing, manufacturing, education and retail.
