Commission launches Roadmap on business taxation in the 21st century

Mar 08, 2021

The European Commission has launched a Roadmap on business taxation for the 21st century to take stock of the discussions at the OECD on reforming the international tax system and to present its proposal for a way forward to ensure that the EU business taxation system fits today’s economy.

The aim of the Roadmap is to set out a vision for business taxation in the EU and a medium-term agenda for the Commission’s action in this area. It will set out principles and priorities for the EU business tax agenda over the coming years and articulate EU action with the ongoing discussions at the international level on taxation of the digital economy and minimum effective taxation.

The Roadmap is open for feedback until 1 April 2021.
