     Ireland

  1. Revenue has updated its guidance to show an example (section 2, example 3) where the earned income tax credit is available to an individual who is employed by his or her spouse because the individual is not entitled to the PAYE credit
  2. Revenue has published a new Tax and Duty Manual, covering the Controlled Foreign Company (CFC) rules, introduced by Finance Act 2018 and took effect from 1 January 2019

  3. HMRC have advised that it is taking longer than usual to send confirmation emails to customers signing up for Making Tax Digital (MTD) – but no action is needed. Read the full update
