Highlights this week include guidance on using Revenue’s My Enquiries service, the NI Tax Committee’s response to the employment status consultation and the European Commission publish ant-fraud amendments to the VAT Directive.

  1. A new Revenue Tax and Duty manual which covers the principles for determining the tax deductibility of wages paid to family members is now available
  2. Revenue have published updates to their guidance on MyEnquiries, the Revenue’s online contact facility, to include additional guidance on various topics

  5. The European Commission recently published technical anti-fraud amendments to the VAT Directive.This is part of proposals put forward by the Commission in October 2017 to deal with estimated VAT receipts of €50 billion which are lost annually to cross-border fraud
