Last week, the OECD Secretary-General, Mathias Cormann presented the tax report to the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors. The report centres on the implementation of the Two-Pillar Solution which was agreed last October. Regarding Pillar One, the new Multilateral Convention, which will be needed for the implementation, will be finalised by mid-2023 for entry into force in 2024. Regarding Pillar Two, the report acknowledges that the technical work is largely complete at this stage, however implementation is not expected until 2024.
