The Minister for Finance, Pascal Donohoe T.D., welcomed US Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen to Dublin last week, ahead of a series of engagements with political and business leaders. During the visit, Secretary Yellen and Minister Donohoe provided keynote addresses at an IIEA webinar on The Future of the Global Economy: US and Irish Perspectives.
During the webinar Secretary Yellen noted that Ireland’s support on the OECD’s agreement on international tax reform was crucial and that it was expected that Ireland could adapt to the changing international tax environment. She noted the importance of the agreement in the context of tax and trading disputes.
