As employers continue to review and accept their Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme (TWSS) reconciliation balance on ROS, the CCAB-I have asked Revenue to continue to engage on phonelines as much as possible in the run up to the deadline. The deadline for reviewing and accepting the TWSS reconciliation balance is Wednesday, 30 June 2021. Revenue confirmed at a recent TALC meeting that 16,000 employers with liabilities have yet to review and accept their TWSS reconciliation balance. Some of these employers still have gaps in their payroll data.
Revenue also confirmed that some 40,000 reconciliations have been submitted and a further 13,500 employers have a nil reconciliation balance or are due a TWSS refund.
Where an employer has not reviewed and accepted their TWSS reconciliation balance by the 30 June deadline, Revenue will treat the balance as reported in ROS to be agreed. For gaps in the subsidy paid data, the “subsidy payable” will be set to zero for payslips where the subsidy paid has not been reported, and TWSS amounts previously paid by Revenue to the employer may become repayable to Revenue.
Employers have until Wednesday 30 June to review, correct and accept their reconciliation balance. After this date, the reconciliation balance on ROS will be final.
Further information is available in the Employer Guidance for the TWSS reconciliation.
