HMRC keep recordings for a limited time, to give you the opportunity to catch up if you missed a live meeting. Here are the most recent ones:

Basis periods: This is a subject that’s prominent around the self-assessment peaks. It included an understanding of commencement years, changes to accounting date and overlapping periods: Register and view

Construction Industry Scheme (CIS): the session covered a basic overview of the CIS, including registration, gross payment status, deductions, record keeping, and repayments. It also covered reporting, including how to correct errors on returns and common errors to avoid: Register and view

Tax coding: HMRC covered how adjustments in tax codes for state benefits are calculated and how primary and secondary employments are established: Register and view

Intellectual Property Office (IPO) - an introduction to design: in the fifth of the IPO series, the IPO gave a brief overview on intellectual property and focused on design. This basic introduction explained how to protect the appearance of your goods with design registration: Register and view.

These interactive meetings were run on the ‘CITRIX’ platform and the information was correct at the time they were originally broadcast.

The future Talking Points programme and links to other recordings we’ve published will continue to be hosted on GOV.UK.
