Title: Financial Controller
Reporting to: Managing Director
Location: Dublin city centre
Company: FMCG Food
Experience: 3-5 Years post qualification experience, ideally in hospitality sector.
Package: €70k + other benefits
Main responsibilities:

• Management of the overall financial function ensuring the function is run effectively.
• Supporting the business by utilising financial and management information, providing insight and analysis to ensure financial goals are reached, being a strong business partner and getting things done.
• Ensuring systems and procedures are efficient and as streamlined as possible.
• Analysis of new opportunities for growth and expansion, and securing required finance for growth.
• Managing the finance team and ensuring they support these objectives.

You are:
• A commercial accountant – who can apply data and findings to the businesses operation.
• An effective communicator – can explain financial data to non finance people.
• Driven – can operate in fast paced environment
• Analytical – can assess trends and data and recommend effective solutions to your analysis.

Finance Function:
• Manage and develop a team of four staff.
• Supervision of all aspects and day to day running of the finance department.
• Cash flow management and forecasting
• Banking and securing finance for expansion and growth.
• Oversee payroll/ AP and AR.
• Preparation of company wide budgets.

Management support

• Work closely with the business to ensure achievement of operational and financial targets.
• Analyse business performance and generate recommendations for improvement.
• Stay informed of market trends and competitor activity and make recommendations for improvement.
• Preparation of ad hoc business plans, proposals, tenders, analyses and reports as required.
• Assist the Store and Catering teams in reaching financial targets by providing the relevant data and training support.
• Design and generate ad-hoc additional routine reports that give insights into financial and operational performance.

Compliance:
• Complete annual audits and ensure compliance with revenue and other legislative bodies.
• Ensure the completion of monthly management accounts are in line with the agreed internal accounting calendar.
• Monitor internal control processes to ensure that group policies(expenses/ and directives are adhered to.


Systems:
• Ensure all internal systems are effective and being used to their highest capability to aid in assisting the business to meet its targets.
• This includes payroll, hr, accounting system, payment systems, debt collection system.
• Work with the IT manager in ensuring security controls are robust and in keeping with security and legislative requirements.

Purchasing/ Cost Control:
• Work with the purchasing manager to ensure COGS targets are achieved.
• Work to ensure all products procured are the best price.
• Review monthly accounts and data to review trends, make recommendations to reduce costs.
• Produce budgets and reports to ensure costs are kept on target.
