Gheel Autism Limited are looking for some one to join the board who has an accounting insight.

The company is solvent and there is a solid experienced accounting team in place who prepare the required accounts and budgets. The company cares for adults with autism and some with other underlying conditions in Dublin and Kildare north. It is funded 100% from HSE, called a section 39 company. The company has a budget of €12M pa and a Balance Sheet of about €6M.There are 10 people on the board mainly volunteer professionals and some parents of service users.

There are 8 meetings a year and the run in the evening from 5.30 to 8.30 and when held in person are in Dublin 3.

There is a vacancy arising on the board as the current Chartered Accountant is leaving as they have completed the maximum term of a board member.

The role will appeal to members who have an interest in the area of autism. Alternatively someone who wishes to enhance their board experience with a company that conducts the business of a board formally and is keen to adhere to high governance standards.

This is an unpaid role.
