A role has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join the busy finance function of property management and development management company. The position is a full-time permanent role
The team currently consists of the Managing Director of Finance and Financial Controller. We are looking for someone reliable, diligent and dynamic to look after a broad variety of aspects of the finance function of a growing company.
Responsibilities The main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Preparing monthly/quarterly sales invoices and liaising with project finance teams regarding fee calculations and receipts. • Preparation of bi-monthly VAT returns and the annual VAT RTD. • Assisting with internal and statutory audits o Preparing audit packs and Trial Balance o Liaising with auditors and assisting with queries. • Accounts Payable o Recording domestic and foreign purchase invoices in line with company procedures. o Liaising with external suppliers and project teams to resolve any queries. • Employee Expenses o Reviewing and recording employee expense claims in line with company procedures and preparing payment runs. • Managing inter-company recharges/invoices and liaising with the Central Finance team in Head Office. • Accounts preparation and General Ledger management. • Balance Sheet reconciliations. • Monthly bank reconciliations. • Corporation tax return preparation and liaising with external consultants. • Internal reporting to Hines US and Hines Europe within tight deadlines. • Providing support and assistance to the finance team including presenting information and analysis in Excel/Word etc.
Experience/Knowledge: • Recently qualified ACA • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Willing to take initiative and contribute to the management of day-to-day processes and procedures. • Good knowledge of Irish VAT rules. • Strong competence in MS Excel. • Knowledge of JD Edwards desirable but not essential
