Our clients' firm is a long standing highly reputable practice in South Dublin. They are seeking a motivated professional who is looking for a challenging career within an ambitious and progressive firm of Chartered Accountants.
The scope of the role will enable you to get diverse experience across many different sectors; to include providing business advisory and assurance, general audit, consulting and working with taxation and corporate finance professionals to provide professional and creative solutions to clients.
Audit Senior - Scope of role
1. Lead audit in accordance with generally accepted audit principles applicable to mainly small or medium sized companies.
2. Preparation of, or supervision and review in relation to the preparation of financial statements.
3. Interim assistance with the finance and reporting function of a large progressive business.
4. Direction and review of junior audit associates. Dealing with the more technical issues and communication or training of less experienced members of staff.
5. Ability to develop and nurture relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients. The candidate should have the ability to gain the trust of clients and harness this trust to develop and enhance the client, practice relationship.
6. Preparation of taxation computations and completion of appropriate forms for submission.
7. Ad hoc taxation, research or other engagements with direct Partner support and integration with other areas in the practice.
8. Preparation and presentation of reports to client or staff with Partner instruction.
9. Direct reporting to manager and Partner, including value added ideas and providing assistance when requested.
Candidate Requirements
1. ACA qualified Accountant, salary will be commensurate with experience.
2. The ability to work as part of a team as well as enterprise to work on own initiative when required.
3. An ability to develop and enhance the client relationship through excellent communication skills, to provide advice to and deal with client communications in a clear, articulate way.
4. Microsoft Office, with high proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel with proven work experience.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a record of drafting professional correspondence.
6. Analytical and with the ability to manage engagements and other staff members when required.
7. Previous practical experience in preparing accounts under FRS102 and the provisions of Companies Act 2014.
8. Previous experience in Relate Accounts Production and IXBRL is a bonus but not mandatory.
