iXBRL filing deadline

Members are reminded that iXBRL returns in respect of accounting periods ending between 1 and 31 December 2015 must be filed with Revenue by 23 December 2016.

Revenue approves FRS 101, FRS 102 and EU IFRS Taxonomies

Revenue has issued eBrief No. 99/16 which confirms that from 16 December 2016, the FRS 101, FRS 102 and EU IFRS taxonomies recently released by XBRL Ireland as Public Working Drafts are accepted by Revenue.  Revenue FAQs and other guidance have been updated accordingly.


Release of taxonomies by XBRL Ireland

XBRL Ireland has produced draft iXBRL taxonomies appropriate to FRS 101, FRS 102 and IFRS accounting standards.  These taxonomies are significant for tax work in the context of the mandatory application of iXBRL when submitting the accounts of larger companies to Revenue.  They have been released in the form of a Public Working Draft and can be found on XBRL Ireland’s website.  The consultation period will close at the end of February next year.
