Our client is an €14M turnover SME in South Dublin seeking a Finance Manager to take over from the existing FM.

Currently seeking a Finance Manger to lead the finance function and contribute strategically to the development and delivery of its overall strategy.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the appointed candidate will be responsible for:-

• Managing all day to day financial transactions of the organisation
• Ensure proper accounting for and monitoring of financial statements
• Responsible for the production of monthly journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
• Perform bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts and ensuring financial reporting is completed in accordance with scheduled Finance Committee meetings
• Provide financial information for management and various stakeholders
• Prepare statutory financial statements ready for audit and liaise and co-ordinate the annual audit
• Ensure that the annual financial report is printed and issued on time
• Ensure Financial Plan is kept up to date
• Responsible for the preparation and input of the annual budget
• Ensure all members are invoiced on a monthly basis and that the debtor’s ledger is monitored and controlled to highlight any potential bad debts
• Process Monthly Sales Direct Debits
• Ensure all suppliers are paid on time in accordance with agreed payment terms. Monitor and control creditors ledger to avoid non and duplicate payments
• Treasury Management – Maximise cash flow performance of the business through controls on credit and collections, disbursements, deposits and remittances. Frequently liaise with banks to obtain the best market deposit rates to maximise interest received on retained earnings
• Prepare and submit bi-monthly VAT returns
• Prepare and process the monthly payroll for all staff.
• Ensure that all corporation tax preliminary payments are made on time to avoid any penalties
• Ensure that all corporate and secretarial duties are completed and submitted in a timely manner
• Ensure that all insurance, IT, or facilities related matters are dealt with in a timely manner and that maintenance agreements are kept up to date
• Build good working relationships with all stakeholders

ACA with circa 2 / 4 yrs+ post qualification experience with strong Excel
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, together with the ability to deal effectively with multiple stakeholders. Proficiency in IT Systems is an advantage.
