Financial Controller - Contract - Wicklow/North Wexford

The role will see you reporting to the MD and working closely with the senior management team.

Key Tasks to include:

Management of customer accounts to ensure retention and no significant bad debts.

Project management of a implementation project.

Management of financial and commercial issues arising from growth within the business, and the competitive environment within which it operates.



Preparation of monthly management accounts pack, including profit and loss account, balance sheet, cashflow, working capital statistics, variance analysis and commentary on performance;

Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts;

Cash management and monthly / quarterly forecasting;

Sales and margin reporting /analysis;

Analysis and management of non-product costs;

Staff management, training and development (4 staff);

Management of annual audit, and engagement with third party advisors such as insurance and taxation;


Preparation of recommendations on commercial aspects of customer pricing / promotional activity;

Working capital management, with specific responsibility for the credit control function. This will require a focus on minimizing bad debt exposure and will involve managing debt review meetings, cash debt collection targets, interaction with customers and the sales team on a regular basis, as well as implementing and overseeing a credit policy;

Review of existing processes and workflows to highlight areas for operational / technological improvement.


Qualified accountant, with c3 years post qualification experience
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong IT skills a prerequisite
Attentive to detail
“Hand-on” and flexible approach
Track record of meeting and achieving deadlines
