530C Notification of relevant payment by principal

Summary

Section 530C sets out the obligations on a principal in terms of notifying the Revenue Commissioners of his or her intention to make a payment under a relevant contract. It also includes provision for the making of regulations in relation to the notification of a payment by a principal.

Details

(1) Immediately before a principal make a relevant payment to a subcontractor, they must notify the Revenue Commissioners of their intention to make the payment and of the amount of the payment.

(2) The payment notification must be made by electronic means and the provisions of Chapter 6 of Part 38 shall apply.

(3) The Revenue Commissioners shall make regulations in relation to the submission of payment notifications by principals.
