INTERPRETATION ACT 2005
AN ACT RESPECTING THE INTERPRETATION AND APPLICATION OF ACTS AND OF STATUTORY INSTRUMENTS MADE UNDER ACTS AND PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CERTAIN ENACTMENTS RELATING TO THOSE MATTERS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:
PART 1
Preliminary and General
1 Short title and commencement.
(1) This Act may be cited as the Interpretation Act 2005.
(2) This Act comes into operation on 1 January 2006.
