The Trust Registration Service – update
HMRC’s new trust registration service was recently released and allows details of trusts already registered to be updated and amended. The intention of the updated service is to allow for additional functionality and an improved user experience.
In addition to the update facility, the trust registration service is also available to agents, however this involves additional authorisation steps including the need for a trustee to set up a digital tax account for the trust and confirm the agent authority digitally via this.
