Revenue 2020 preliminary results published
Revenue published preliminary results for 2020. The results set out Revenue’s delivery of critical supports to individuals, employers and other businesses impacted by COVID-19, as well as information on Revenue’s support to trade and business in preparing for Brexit.
The rate of timely compliance with tax obligations fell marginally in 2020. Revenue recognised taxpayers and tax practitioners’ efforts in ensuring that a continued culture of strong voluntary compliance prevailed despite the challenges posed by the pandemic.
Over 378,500 audits and compliance interventions were completed during 2020, yielding over €484 million. This compares to 394,000 interventions yielding €544.5 million in the previous year.
