TWSS reconciliation demand letters and Stage 2 reconciliation process

Revenue will initiate Stage 2 of the TWSS reconciliation process in mid-March. Under Stage 2, Revenue will issue details to each employer at both summary and detail level to allow the employer to review their reconciliation down to a payslip level. Employers will have until the end of June 2021 to review their details before accepting the reconciliation. Stage 2 was originally planned to commence in January. Last month, Revenue issued letters to 3,212 employers requesting subsidy paid data due under Stage 1 of the reconciliation process on 31 October 2020. The TWSS must be repaid if the employer does not provide Revenue with the outstanding information.
