Sub committees
As well as the main committee, the society has five sub-committees as follows:
- Training, Education & Careers (including CPD): Promotes Chartered Accountancy in primary and secondary schools, universities, supports CA students and provides ongoing professional development opportunities for members in Cork.
- Chartered Accountants (CA) in Industry: Supports members working in industry roles, addressing specific challenges, career development, and networking opportunities.
- Community and Member Engagement: Advocates for members by enhancing communication, promoting engagement, and supporting charitable initiatives, sustainability efforts, and broader community outreach (CSR).
- Golf: Develops and promotes the annual Golf Classic, engaging Cork Society members and the wider Cork business community.
- ACA Professionals: Advocates for ACA professionals by identifying engagement opportunities and sharing ideas with the Cork Society Committee.
These sub-committees are lead by a main committee member and membership is open to any society member who would like to be involved. It is a great way to be involved in activities without having to be on the main committee. It also allows members to be involved in an area that they may have a personal and professional interest in.
