4. I have a complaint made against me. Where can I find more information? Who can I contact to help me?

   The Professional Standards Department have information and guidance in relation to the complaints and disciplinary process.

   Conal Kennedy, Head of Practicing Consulting, is the Institute’s designated Complaints Adviser.  Conal will advise members on a confidential basis, and use his knowledge of the complaints process, precedents and the bye-laws to ensure that members can respond to Professional Standards and the complainant in a measured and informed manner.  For more information see our designated Members’ complaints advice page.

7. What supports do the Institute provide to help me market my practice?

   The public and businesses can use our online directory to search for an accountant or accountancy practice by name, location, authorisations and specialisms. Firms can pay an annual fee to receive top search ranking in the directory along with other benefits by signing up for a premium listing.
